
Carolyn is a Transportation Program Manager at Google, where she manages and coordinates programs and initiatives across multiple vendor teams. Collaborating with internal teams, she delivers helpful trip reduction benefits for commute and inter/intra campus connectivity in the Bay Area and around the globe. She manages outreach and educational efforts to attract new users and retain current users to ensure the success of these programs.
Carolyn has a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning and a Master of Science in Regenerative Studies from Cal Poly Pomona. Her previous roles include environmental and community planner at a global engineering firm and volunteer board member of the US Green Building Council Orange County Chapter. As the sustainable transportation manager at UC Irvine, she developed the campus biking education program and culture through volunteer and education programs. These initiatives contributed to the University receiving numerous awards and rankings.
Carolyn is a League of American Bicyclists Instructor, certified since 2015, and an advocate for cycling. She has presented at the League of American Bicyclists National Bike Summit in Washington DC, was named one of the Association of Commuter Transportation’s 40 under 40, and has presented at their conferences highlighting the effectiveness of outreach and education programs.
Wife, mother, and avid gardener and baker, she loves spending time with her family. Although both her boys were biking at age 3, she is now a devoted baseball mom who plays catch with them daily.
